How Marram works

Approach

What to expect when working with Marram. Each assignment is scoped before work starts, carried out by a team matched to its subject and region, and reviewed along the way, so the final products are ready to use.

Lead consultant

Direct experience, a global network, a team for each assignment

Themba Lewis leads Marram, drawing on more than 20 years of work across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. For each assignment he builds a bespoke team from a global network of practitioners, experts and communities, built through that work. Each team is matched to the subject, the region and the approach the work needs, so that results are reliable, evidence-based, grounded in lived experience, and involve the people affected.

Process

How an assignment runs

  1. Scope first

Deliverables and timeline are agreed before work starts.

  2. Inception note

An early inception note sets out method, stakeholders, risk assessment, and outline.

  3. Periodic review

A mid-point review checks progress against the agreed scope. Additional reviews can be agreed.

  4. Conclusion

Final products are delivered in the form needed, fit for purpose and based in collaboration, ready to be used.

  5. Follow-up (optional)

A follow-up meeting within six months of completion, to check how the work is being used and whether anything needs adjusting.
